• User Content: We collect all the content you create and post on the platform. This includes your stories (published or drafts), comments on other posts, and any text you save as a "highlight" from other stories.
• Interaction Data: We track your interactions within the app, such as which authors you follow, which stories you like, and which posts you bookmark. This helps us personalize your experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Authors Hub platform.
• Display your profile and your content (stories, comments) to other users.
• Personalize your feed and recommend content you might like.
• Allow you to manage your content, including creating, editing, and deleting your posts.
• Enable interactive features, such as following, liking, bookmarking, and commenting.
• Communicate with you about your account or service updates, should the need arise.
• Find and prevent fraud or security issues.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your information is stored securely using Google's Firebase platform. Specifically, your data is held in Firestore databases and file uploads (like avatars) are stored in Firebase Storage. We rely on Google's robust security measures to protect your data. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

4. Account and Data Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. To initiate this process, please send an email from your registered account address with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" to our support team.

Upon receiving and verifying your request, we will permanently delete your account and all associated content (including your profile, stories, comments, and highlights) within 30 days. Please be aware that this data cannot be recovered once deleted.

5. Your Other Data Rights

You have control over your personal information on Authors Hub:

• You can access and update your profile information, including your bio and donation link, at any time through your author profile page.
• You can create, edit, and delete your posts (drafts or published works).
• You can delete your highlights from your profile page.

6. Children's Privacy

Our service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take necessary action.
